Discussion Channels

Team messaging channels for internal collaboration, similar to Slack — built into Winora.

Discussion Channels

Channels (/channels) are internal team messaging rooms — similar to Slack channels — built directly into Winora. Use them for team announcements, department discussions, or project coordination.

Creating a channel

  1. Go to Channels in the sidebar.
  2. Click + New channel.
  3. Enter a name (e.g. "engineering", "support-team", "announcements").
  4. Click Create.

Posting messages

Click into a channel and type in the message box at the bottom. Press Enter to send. Messages support markdown formatting.

Inviting external users

Click Invite to generate a unique invite link. External users (e.g. freelancers, clients) can join the channel via the link at /channel/:token without needing a full Winora account.

Notifications

A red dot badge appears on the Channels sidebar link when there are unread messages. Messages in channels do not trigger push notifications — check channels proactively.

Audit logging

All channel activity (created, members added, external invites) is logged in the workspace Audit Log (Settings → Audit Log).
