Scheduled Messages

Queue a reply to send at a specific future time instead of immediately.

Write a reply now and have it sent automatically at a time you choose — useful for following up across time zones.

Scheduling a reply

  1. Open a conversation in Inbox and type your reply.
  2. Click the dropdown arrow next to the Send button.
  3. Select Schedule send and pick a date and time.
  4. Click Schedule — the message is queued.

Managing scheduled messages

Scheduled messages appear in the timeline with a clock icon and their send time. You can cancel a scheduled message before it sends by clicking Cancel on the message.

How sending works

A background cron job checks for due scheduled messages every minute and sends them via the appropriate channel (email, widget, etc.).

Limitations

  • Scheduled messages are sent to the same channel as the conversation.
  • Time zone is based on your workspace timezone setting (Settings → Workspace).
